PDF – General Election 2010 – Action Replay

The UK Election is not just the most hotly contested in years but has been enlivened by a riptide of digital media innovations which have transformed the character of campaign, the relationship between the parties and the public and the engagement between candidates and citizens.

Personal Democracy Forum (PdF), the world's largest conference on how technology is changing politics, is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a formal review of the election in London on the evening of 13 May at the RSA with top speakers from the digital leadership of all three parties, key media commentators, and online experts from the United States.

This will be a prelude to our first major UK PdF Forum conference which will take place this autumn in London.

The event, hosted in conjunction with the RSA, and Onalytica will bring together over 200 people who have been responsible for the most creative and high impact uses of digital media during the campaign.

Speakers include two of the most sought after US political strategists Mindy Finn and Joe Trippi, along with PdF’s founder Andrew Rasiej. From the UK we welcome Stella Creasy, Labour's PC in Walthamstow, the senior strategists behind the online campaigns from the 3 main parties: Labour's Mark Hanson (new media strategist, former associate editor of LabourHome.org), Conservative's Craig Elder (Online communities editor at the conservative party) and Lib Dem's Mark Pack (Head of Digital at Mandate Communications and co-editor Lib Dem Voice www.LibDemVoice.org). We also welcome Harry Cole editor of ToryBear.com, Anthony Painter Commentator and Journalist, Alberto Nardelli, creator of Tweetminster and Prospect Magazine's James Crabtree 

The event will be chaired by Charlie Beckett the Director of POLIS

The event will be highly interactive. We will be pulling together a list of participants in the next week. This will be a free event, but attendance is by invitation. We will be inviting participants from across the political spectrum who have distinguished themselves by their usage of digital media through the course of the UK election.
